  January 13, 2020 - Rather deep colour. Nose with dark berries including blackcurrants, some violets, hints of iron/rust, barnyard notes, animal notes and vanilla. Medium+ body, palate with rather dark berries including dark cherries and blackberries, good acidity providing freshness, softened and well integrated tannins, long and fresh berry-dominated aftertaste. Drinks well now, not at all "tired", 90 pts.
  
  This wine comes across as considerably younger in its aromas than I had expected.
