  February 7, 2020 - Outstanding wine, still a bit young and linear here, even with decanting and a spreading funnel to encourage some O2. For as dark a wine as this is, the fruit — while purple with shades of blue — has a late palate shift to red that I find a bit odd in the taste profile. Perhaps this is me confusing the redness for acidity or even for a late blossoming fruit tannin, but I got that sense. Nonetheless, I think this wine will integrate better with more years, and I’ll hold off on anymore until 2021.
