  February 21, 2020 - Essence of cool climate Zinfandel, without any heaviness or jamminess. Carlisle Zinfandels and Rhone blends are among the most reliably flavorful, distinctive, and beautifully made wines in California. This 2014 Saitone Zinfandel was note-perfect when I first barrel-sampled it in 2015, and still is. ( It has thrown some sediment, so to enjoy its color do decant.)
  
  I do love Zins at the 3-4 year old youthful stage. This is a little past that but have no fear, it's still great.
