February 28, 2020 - Enjoyed this bottle with some Ravioli Lasagna and it was a great pairing.

Opened and decanted for an hour. Tasted upon open and it was a tad tight but the red fruits came though. Translucent edges with a dark purple core.

After decanting the wine came together and showed several layers of red fruits, black fruits some cigar box and herbal/mineral finish. This is drinking very well IMO and is a great food wine. Not the best Brunello but for the price this was spot on!

2/29/20, 1:01 PM - I particularly appreciate your observations re decanting & the food pairing, the latter particularly since I often ponder WHAT to match with Brunellos. :( So, THANK you for your TN! :)

3/2/20, 1:06 PM - Thank you. I also like to read how food interacts with the wine. Some wines are easy to enjoy alone and some require the fat or acids of foods, that what make wine so interesting to me, not to mention fatter too :)
