  March 25, 2020 - Had with homemade burgers and fries. What you expect. Very dark. Nose has blackberry jam, honey, slate. Needs little air, just silky smooth fruit. Ripe plums, cassis. Overall presents clean and focused. I won’t criticize this wine like others for not having old world complexity. That’s not what its about. It offers good quality for the price in Napa without the ostentatiousness of its peers. Not too sweet or oaked. Hard pressed to find a meal it won’t pair with.
