  March 11, 2020 - Ross’s Last Supper @ Lucali — Double decanted 3 hours before dinner. Deep ruby center with some lighting at the rim. Lovely initial nose dominated by mature fruit and floral notes with earth, tar and mineral elements intermixed. The palate is framed by fine tannins, nice acidity and elegant texture. The sweet red fruit remains fresh yet has engaging complexity. As recent notes suggest this initially presents more elegantly and picks up more richness and complexity with air. For me this bottle appeals to my preference for Burgundy vs Bordeaux.
