April 10, 2020 - Appearance : deep ruby with legs and little petillance

On nose : high intensity, dark fruit : cherry, black plum, lichorice, tobacco, leather, salty mineral, vanilla oak, black pepper, quiet complex.

On palate : high intensity flavour, a bit off dry, high acidity, sweet dark fruit dominated on the front palate, med+ and sweet tannin and full body on mid palate, high alcohol but not throat burning(14.5% abv), with warm black pepper spiciness and salty mineral aftertaste, med and pleasent finishing.

This is a very good wine, just only that the finishing is not as long as I expected. Overall speaking it is an elegant one but still can be distinguished from the old world. I matched with my home made crispy Chinese style BBQ pork belly and prime cut steak in my Good Friday dinner. I suggest to drink it now as you can enjoy the sweet fruitiness and the complex aroma. Cheers!
