April 14, 2020 - Air bottle for 1.5 hrs,
Appearance : pale ruby with legs and petillance
On nose : med+ intensity, red fruit : dry raspberries, cherry, deep red flora, sweet tobacco leaves, subtle wood toasted, after an hour, it developed into lichorice, lovely leafiness, some mushroom, very pleasent!
On palate : dry, med intensity flavour, high acidity, sweet dry raspberry on front palate, med body, elegant, tea leaf and sweet tannin on mid palate, med alcohol with savoury and black tea aftertaste. Pleasent, good structure with med finishing.
There is no regret for us, every time I enjoy Comte Armand, for the clos des epeneaux, never disappointed. it is a highly rated vineyard in Pommard. It does have elegancy and with complexity. I love this wine so much and it is best match with roast duck or pigeons. This wine is surely that can be waitted for 5 more years but u can sill enjoy the fruitiness now!2,360 views
