April 22, 2020 - My recommendation for a Huet 1ère Trie from a great vintage (like 2015): wait at least 15 years (from vintage on). The wines need a long time to show their complexity and to open up. To me, Huet does one of the greatest (residual) sweet Chenin Blancs - but you have to be patient.

4/23/20, 6:52 AM - If you have a case of 6 bottles, if you want you can taste one in 7 years. But, it is true that you have to know how to be patient with the "1ere trie" from this great winemaker

4/23/20, 7:37 AM - I agree! I also feel this way about a lot of top German Riesling producers. If you buy a JJ Prum Auslese and drink it when its 3-4 years old it's a waste!

3/13/23, 10:40 AM - Hi Mr Menendez. Characteristics of this wine are the following : sugar 89 g/l and acidity 5,4g/l. For me it's better with 'foie gras", roast chiken... As an aperitif or a meditation wine on the corner of the wood fire.
