June 12, 2020 - Medium garnet turning violet at the rim with a transparent edge and legs that indicate a slightly high alcohol level. The nose gives off subdued smoky notes of dried oregano, seared meat, and blackberries. The palate is super savory with vibrant acidity and a gorgeous silky texture. Flavors of black olives, black currants, oolong tea, tobacco, and graphite form the core. Hints of eucalyptus lace the long, gripping finish. This is excellently made. Rivals the 2007 vintage. Drink now until 2035.
