June 24, 2020 - Opaque ruby purple turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge and legs that indicate a ripe, high octane vintage. The nose gives off eucalyptus, dried oregano, seared meat, dark berries, cola and incense. The palate is full-bodied, not fully-integrated yet, but most certainly has the potential to flourish further. Flavors of blackberries, dark cherry, new leather, black tea, and charcoal form the core and evolves in the glass. The solid mid palate thrusts to a long, mentholated finish that lasts for a minute. This is just so delectable, and perhaps the best I’ve had from this producer. Drink now with a 30-minute decant until 2035. 96+

6/24/20, 10:57 AM - This is how I felt about it 2 years ago when tasting it repeatedly in Italy. it is continuing to make me look good! What a nice wine!
