  June 26, 2020 - Deep purple. Aromas are of medium (+) intensity with blueberries, black cherries, black currant, black tea, vanilla, violets. On the palate the wine is dry with medium acidity, medium fine ripe tannins, high alcohol, and pronounced flavors of just ripe blueberry, black cherries, black currant, Dried blueberries, black tea, vanilla. The finish is medium plus with a pleasant fruity finish but also with some heat. The wine is very good demonstrating intensity on the palate and nose. There is some complexity with black fruit, tea, floral notes, vanilla. The finish is medium plus and pleasant. The fruit on the wine represents both- just ripe and dried fruit flavors reflecting the uneven ripening of zin. However, here it contributes to the complexity of the palate. However, the wine is out of balance with the high alcohol and heat on the finish.
