July 12, 2020 - My last bottle. Decanted 45 minutes before dinner. Deep, dark, extracted wine with aromas and flavors of sweet, dark blue and black fruits. Reminiscent of a 00's style New World fruit bomb, but with a big backbone of acid and some gentle tannins. Given the raw materials in the bottle, this wine could be held in the cellar a while longer, but I'm not sure how it will evolve; for me it has already declined quite fast in the past few years. I rated the wine much higher a few years ago because it was much more complex then. Today this wine has lost its aromatic charm. It has a medium++ body and a simplistic, full-fruit flavor profile. It continues to be a delicious wine in the New World style, but in retrospect I wish I had drunk this up in 2016-17.
