July 20, 2020 - My experience seems to have been better than some recent tasters. Opened (durand) and filtered into decanter for 48 hours, back into cleaned bottle for service with desert, custard fruit tart. Cherries, and more cherries, plum, raisins, baking spices, and dry dark fruits. Not big or complex, but still with enough fruit to be interesting. A lot of these older ports suffered from the quality of the spirit used back then, and I've found a long decant can make a big difference. Yes, past its peak, but still a pleasure.
