July 24, 2020 - This wine feels like it has been hitting the gym for the past twelve years. It's gain a bit of muscle but it hasn't gained an ounce of fat! Crispy, mineral and chalky. This wine exhudes Chablis. Not 12 year old Chablis, but maybe 4? Very nice bottle. Went great with the saltier oysters, the Welfleet ones, from the platter we had.

8/21/20, 12:27 PM - What would you give it for longevity on a drink window. I scored just one bottle recently from a retailer. Not sure when to drink it as I’ve only had Fevre Village bottles. Thx!

Vaulorent is almost GC quality, probably second in line to Montee de Tonnerre among the PC climats. Hence, it is quite long lived, if well stored, of course. It all depends on how you like your wines. But this particular bottle is just entering maturity and should linger there for five to six years, at least. It should start a slow decline from there.
Cheers and good luck with your bottle!

I’m still learning how I like my wines. I just got into Chablis. I started with Champagne about a year ago.

Because of the soil similarities, I immediately liked it. So far I have just dipped my toes into with water with the village wines. I’m not a person who likes oak flavors in their white wine though, so your description sounds perfect!

Knowing it will be good 6 years out is great, and the help I needed. The drink windows are hard as a noob. Thank you!

But keep in mind that there have been pre-mox issues, especially before 2010. So, hopefully your bottle is fine and you will have an enjoyable experience. Just cross your fingers. Cheers!
