August 6, 2020 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Summer tasting (Asperg): Tasted blind. Clear, medium ruby color. Nose easily identifiable as Pinot. Some herbs, some lactic notes, fine red fruit, very rustic.
On the palate dense, deep and spicy. Nice ripe fruit, medium acidity and high, a bit drying tannin. Lots of harsh notes from stems. A bit rough and edgy. 12,5%. Don’t know, how this will age. The tannin needs another decade, but what will happen with the fruit? 86-88
