August 7, 2020 - Opened this at the French Ladle with a very close colleague. We had foie gras, duck confetti pasta, wagyu steak and lemon tart.

Dark purple in colour. Good intensity on the nose with ash, earth, wild violets, crushed pepper, dried herbs and tea leaves. The wine evolved over the course of the lunch; from wild exotic notes to a more well-integrated rustic old world charmer.

A good showing from a beautiful Cabernet Franc from the Loire region. The world needs more wines from quality producers which showcases the uniqueness of the terrior instead of mass produced and marketed wines.
