Community Tasting Note

August 10, 2020 - I think I've tasted this three or four times since release, and so I'm surprised (ok, not really) to see I've no note yet. I was able to sample this over three nights; was a PnP on night one. That said, for my tastes, this was showing its best on night #2 - more complete, more in harmony. White fleshed fruit, with a vibrant mineral/soil core that resonates vibrantly across, and within the wine. I've only one left in the cellar, and I'm planning to open that one (in part based on this tasting) beginning in 2024, at the earliest. In my experience, this will fall short of the most excellent 2001; lucky to have several in the cellar. Teases very good, but ultimately not quite there yet; 13,0% abv. HOLD. For its full potential, it's highly recommended
