  July 23, 2020 - I’d been saving this wine to drink with my dear friend, Kurt. It was one of the earlier bottles he helped me procure early in our history and we’d planned on sharing it soon. We almost drank it together, earlier in 2020, but the opportunity was overshadowed by events.
  This morning we learned of his passing and lament the loss of future times together while celebrating the ineffable kindness and complete largesse of our friend’s spirit.
  Our lives are immeasurably better for having known him.
