August 21, 2020 - Aged beauty, classy wine. The bottle was in fine condition. Dark cherry, forest floor earth, lingering background spices, something reminiscent of autumn.

This was at its best and at its most interesting a few of days after opening. Upon opening about 2/3 of the bottle was consumed over a couple of hours with a meal and on its own. The remainder was closed and set in cellar conditions for a few of days. The nose came out with some smoke, dried porcini mushroom, subtle cooked strawberry, damp fallen autumn leaves, caramelized orange and plum, some leather. Really intriguing to sip over an hour on its own.
