    August 13, 2020 - A very dark colour; the palate is quite noticeably sweet, with dark, slightly burnt fruit and a noticeable spritz, which detracts. Ready to drink now but will keep. Rather expensive at £29.

    8/28/20, 2:29 PM - Are you saying there was actually carbonation? If so, that would seem to suggest a flawed bottle, in which case you might consider marking the bottle as “flawed” and removing your numerical score.

    8/28/20, 2:47 PM - Your bottle probably refermented in the bottle. This bottle is not supposed to have a spirtz.

    8/30/20, 4:55 AM - Thank you for your comments. Yes, I think there has been some secondary fermentation in the bottle, which I wouldn’t have expected and which took me by surprise. I am not sure to what extent it is a fault, as the carbon dioxide can be removed by decanting and there was nothing wrong with the wine itself.
