  October 4, 2020 - Medium bodied, modern style. Starts out backwards but with N. Rhone-like qualities. With a little air it quickly devolves into generic purple fruit, huge vanilla, and sweet oak. The sort of wine you'd find at a random fancy pizza joint.
  
  Could evolve back towards being interesting in many years, but I have doubts. Have had dozens of 2000-2010 Copain Syrahs and this is the first that did not bring me joy, even makes me question the winemaking direction.
