October 10, 2020 - My first bottle of this vineyard, this vintage.....pnp....a bit jammy purple fruited, quite tannic and astringent. One hour later this begins to fade and two hours in, this wine comes together and displays some great integration that holds through hour 4 before it fades a bit. This is quite enjoyable red fruit, a tad of alcohol noted as time went on and when I checked to find 15.6% I can't say I was surprised. Still, this is a very nice wine and it's best drinking window is hour 2-4 at the present time. Carol's WOTN.

10/11/20, 6:07 AM - Bad, I'm sure that time frame would help it, but having said that, it has a 2 hour window right now that is very good. Carol loved it and it was her WOTN. I also liked it at that point. After that, it did what many of the '16s did early on, in that it trailed off later in the evening and wasn't as good. What I'm finding now with those same '16s is they drink better with longer decant times of 5-6 hours and tend to stay there all night.
