October 24, 2020 - At this age it is ruby/brick in the center to amber/salmon/watery towards the edges. Nose of plums and some tar and balsamic notes. Had to make a short decant due to broken cork issues and considerable sediment (both expected). More tart cherry came out after 20-30 min of air and with the meal including seared wagyu tenderloin and truffle risotto in which it really shined as an ideal match. One of the better buys in the aged Barolo market to my mind.
