October 29, 2020 - Delaware BeachHouse Weekend (Rehoboth Beach): Maybe the biggest disappointment of the night and may have been closed, although the 10-year mark is usually my sweet spot for Brunello. A bit heavy and herbaceous, although maybe it just needs a bit more time.

10/30/20, 6:21 PM - A couple thoughts if you’re interested...First if you brought this in a car and then opened it, it may have just been suffering from “shipping shock”. Probably needs several days to weeks to be itself again. I have had this happen to me with middle age wines that I have taken to beach houses etc. Second, you didn’t indicate if you decanted this and let it breathe? I would give this 2-3 hours in a decanter at least. Third, I think you are right that this needs more time in the cellar...probably 5-10 years.

    Cheers!
