November 18, 2020 - Opened last night and decanted for 24 hours. Very impressive purplish-ruby color. Excellent viscosity. Gorgeous nose just loaded with complex fruit aromas. Shows enormous promise. The promise follows right through onto the palate. Big wine, with strong tannins but tons of crushed berry fruit are well-apparent. This wine has it all: wonderful fruit, power, complexity, length, and personality. Easily the best Meyney I have ever had. It's drinkable (just barely) with a long decant, but clearly its best lies at least ten years down the road, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this last for at least three decades. The reality matches the hype. 5-14-17-9: 95/100.

11/20/20, 5:58 AM - Thanks for the comment! I am happy to have 6 bottles of this wine, seems hard to beat the QPR for less than 40$ a bottle. The '18 Meyney is great too, very fruity actually and fantastic to drink in its youth just now.
