  November 20, 2020 - Well I had my first Mont-Redon last night ; it wasn't disappointing but neither was it a mind blowing experience.
  
  The last glass was certainly much better than the first after a 2 hour decant. Ripe red fruit, cherry undertones, with something akin to liquorice/boiled sweets in the mid palate which I personally found a little unsettling. Long finish with a bouquet of herbs ending the taste on a very pleasant note. Although the usual flavour suspects are there, it doesn't taste "classically" CdP to me ; this is only a neutral observation as that aspect didn't alter my opinion of the wine. The beautiful deep purple hue almost stained the glass and deserves a mention in dispatches.......
