December 5, 2020 - Tasted 3 times this month incl a 98-100 Parker/Galloni top 10 Barolo 2016 tasting where only Burlotto Canubi surpassed. This evening a full bottle.

This one stands out with its cool fruit, energy and delicate taste that last forever. The tannins are there for sure, but very smooth and the balance is awesome. More balance and delicacy than weight and power. Dryness that is often seen ie. in same wine in 2013 is not so profound, but some years (+5) waiting will do good. Might close down and hide its beautiful red fruit and notes of licorice, iron, dry roses and tar. Be sure it will come around even better.

12/9/20, 6:45 AM - Thanks for the great note! I have 4 and plan to try one soon. How much air do think it needs?

I did taste it over 2 days - kept it cool and with cork reinserted. It was better on day two. I would suggest to give it at least two hours decanting. Done this with many Barolo 2016 ie. just now with Alessandra Fratelli 2016 normale🍷
