December 6, 2020 - Stood up and decanted with some fine sediment in the last oz. Clear light ruby; medium-plus aromatics with red cherry, floral; palate is light bodied, medium-plus but very approachable tannins, high acidity, red fruited, medium-high alcohol (14.5%) but integrated well; finish is medium length. A well balanced barbaresco, enjoyable now and great as an everyday wine at this price point. 90

12/6/20, 6:02 PM - MANY thanks for having taken the time to log all 3 of your VERY descriptive TNs! 🙂 If you don't mind me asking, do you recollect what it accompanied & whether or not you decanted it? Finally, SHOULD you be interested, https://www.cellartracker.com/showwikirevision.asp?iWine=1615326&JoinType=Wine&iIndex=1615326 has info for this particular vintage, including acclaim. 😉

12/6/20, 7:44 PM - Opened it just before lunch, so it had 30 minutes of decanting before I paired it with homemade pizza, which was a good match (and a common one for me... can't always have big meat dishes). Dinner was a spinach quiche, which as expected wasn't as good of a pairing. The wine didn't improve with 7+ hours in the decanter, and I thought it was best in the first 2 hours after opening.
