December 6, 2020 - Our last bottle. Compared it with my last five notes, from 2011-May, 2020. This is definitely not in the same category. Still excellent, but not in the same category as the previous bottles (must be this particular bottle, because the one we had 6 months ago was fabulous). No corky aromas, though. Just medium body, lacking some of the richness and body of the others, some bitterness on the late palate. Faded a bit on the second night.

12/7/20, 2:00 AM - Would you say bottle variation, or getting past its prime? I have one left, which I had planned to leave for awhile to see if it would develop, but maybe it is on the downslope?
On the other hand, my second bottle of this was much better that my first, which makes me wonder about bottle variation.

12/7/20, 7:24 AM - I think it was bottle variation because we had a bottle of exactly the same thing in May and it was nearly perfect. I rated it 98. So, you should still have time to enjoy it at its peak.
