  February 28, 2021 - Pale garnet. Cedar notes. Tannins have completely subsided and the fruit is just about still there but I wouldn’t risk holding this any longer. Glad this was the final bottle. Went well with lamb tagine. The last bottle we opened before Christmas was dark orange in colour, very pale and was undrinkable. I’ve never seen flaws like it in a wine, and it went straight down the sink. The ‘98 on the other hand is a masterpiece and was one of last year’s highlights.
