  December 29, 2008 - Initial nose quite restrained however opened up nicely after 3 hours in the decanter revealing rich bouquet of black cherry, leather, and raspberry. The palate does not disappoint. A very muscular and focused wine, with a very nice central beam of red fruit, that finishes with a brilliant dark brooding polish. The finish is easily 2 minutes. When paired with poulty the tannins were overpowering, however with camembert cheese they became buttersoft. This is definately not a wine for tasting, but rather is built for gamey meats or rich cheeses.
