  March 5, 2021 - Tannins have softened since I last had this wine in 2019. Fruit is still rich and full. Acidity, which I remembered as more racy, remains taut but has also calmed.
  
  Nose is very raspberry immediately upon pop and then drifts off revealing montmorency cherry and charred red pepper and beeswax candle.
  
  Glossy attack, drying midpalate and then lingering fruit and earth.
  
  A solid effort and an exceptionally good wine to pair with game meats or triple cream cheeses.
  
  Plenty of life left. Standard decant for 90 mins. Served at cellar temp.
