March 7, 2021 - This has really stepped up a level in the last 12 months and is drinking at its peak. The tannin is fully resolved, and it is displaying secondary notes. It is a great wine from a great vintage, (in spite of moans from some of the purists,). The nose is rich and deep with black cherry and blackcurrant dominating. It is deliciously smooth on the palate with excellent depth and balance. The tannin asserts itself on the finish but it is robust rather than harsh. On the shorter side, the finish still pushes 30 seconds, but lacks depth and ideally would be longer.

3/8/21, 1:10 PM - Great note. Agree completely. Some of the 2003’s are majestic. Especially those from the northern communes of the Medoc.
