    April 14, 2021 - This opaque ruby Cabernet Sauvignon pushes the varietal envelope by including substantial aliquots of Syrah (22%) and Petit Verdot (3%). Aged in 75% new French oak, it is a ripe, full-bodied red with aromas and flavors of black cherry liqueur, dark bramble fruits, blueberries, bittersweet chocolate and espresso. Low in acidity and with fairly well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.9%), it has good mid-palate density, plentiful sweet tannins and an abundance of wood. Solid on the mid-palate and finishing with medium length, this is an enjoyable Paso red but I am not sure that it stands out enough from its peers to warrant its higher price. Drink now-2030.
