January 27, 2007 - A refined nose with lots of cassifruit, vanilla, sweet red fruit, minth and some tobacco. This wine was very pure and balanced. We loved the cassis, chocolate, alive acidicity (a true 'fresh' wine), ripe raspberry, licorice and good tannins towards the medium to long finish. This wine was pure balance and still slightly young. May develop even more. and so yumm! I thought it was a St.-Julien, but that was merely because the Pédesclaux offered much more tobacco (called that one an ash trey) than this one.
