  January 10, 2009 - I am not sure what the hype at K&L wines was over this Bordeaux. Liked most 05's I decanted this one for 2 hours to give it time to breathe and release those concentrated 05 Bordeaux characteristics. However, this wine didn't really open up, it seemed flat and the nose seemed to have faded. This was more earthy and less fruit forward than described by K&L. Maybe this 05 was not as special as some of the others and the fruit faded quickly. Hard to say, but a dissapointment in my book.
