  May 26, 2021 - The Italophile wife, expecting something robust and warm, found something lean and acidic, and did not like it one bit. I was also surprised, but more curious, and so tried it again the next day. Then I found that some dark fruitiness had emerged, but mostly concealed behind a wall of sourness. I confess I don't understand what the aim was, nor what the longer-term prospects might be, but I can report confidently that the experience of drinking this wine now will be pleasure-free.

  8/19/21, 2:43 PM - Hey, just thought I'd let you know I drank this wine and had a vastly different experience, so check my note. If you ever come down to GA let me know and I'll open one with y'all to see if you get a better experience. ;-)

  8/19/21, 4:59 PM - Thanks for the comment (and for the invitation). Now that I see your note, and given the overlap in our palates, I am certainly open to the suggestion that our bottle was faulty, but it's the only one I had so I won't be able to test the hypothesis.
