Community Tasting Note

May 29, 2021 - Into the depths of the Unknown (a/k/a Mostly wines we have yet to taste); 5/27/2021-5/29/2021: PnP. This one yielded a lot of oohs and aahs and more conversation than any of the other wines. Comments were all over the place. Nose smelled like a champagne with a hint of Riesling. Palate was dark fruited, one taster noted a raisin finish (positive!) on the back end which I didn’t get.

Now I know what Charbono tastes like! I still don’t know how to fairly score and put a number on this, so I won’t. In all fairness this was served later and went up against some very stiff competition. That being said, it went quick and not a single negative or meh comment.

I really like it but I think I may like the blend even better....could be why we don't see many pure Charbono wines out there in the marketplace?
