  January 18, 2009 - 1/17/09: Almost black the blue violet color is so deep. The aromas are black fruits, wild red fruit, with perfume notes of lavender, vanilla and violet. There are flavors of blackberry and raspberry, subtle pepper, tar, anise, oak and roast meat. This is a big, ripe intense, full bodied wine with good structure and concentration, touch of acidity and sharp, youthful tannins, that are a little astringent but. add great character and should round out beautifully with a little time.
