  June 28, 2021 - Still gorgeous. So fresh yet so dark... blueberry, plum, blackberry, espresso, lemon, mint, lavender, peppercorns... juicy, meaty, earthy, spicy, lively, perfumed, extraordinarily long, world-class, not a lot of Syrah I'd rather drink. Young and primary, this will go for another decade at least.
  
  This is now open 48 hours (about half the bottle left, cork replaced and it sat in the cellar) and it is showing even better. It has taken on intoxicating aromas of spiced whipped cream and fruit liqueur, but it still has myriad fresh fruit, peppery, floral, meaty and herbal notes. Still juicy and lively on the palate, a bit more smooth today. Based on its performance after so much air, I would say that you should decant it for 6+ hours if you plan to try it in the next few years.
