  Mouth: Creamed black cherry and raspberry compote flavors hold center stage together just before a wave of spiced sarsaparilla and licorice root come crashing through. Ends on a lightly bitter note of loam and black tea, with a tinge of citrus swirling through at the end. Midpalate comes through in light waves as everything ripples along.
  
  Overall: A big, mouthfilling wine for Oregon pinot. Blacker and richer than I anticipated, this is sleek, with beautifully supple tiers of flavor that show graceful, polished palate action.
