June 24, 2021 - This was a real surprise. Served with friends and family and an assortment of food. It stopped conversations it was so unexpectedly good. Medium to full body with lots of ripe fruit on the nose and on pallet. Notes of raisins, ripe black cherries and smoky spices. Mellow tannin was well balanced with good acidity. Full mouth feel and medium long finish. It reminded me of a good Amorone, but without over powering boldness. An excellent will that everybody loved and were shocked that it only cost $17.00. I searched online for more this week and found more of the 2016 vintage for $14.75. I should have bought it all!
