  June 29, 2021 - Thought for sure this would be disappointing given the hot vintage that’s now closed to 2 decades old. Well, I dare say this is even better than quite a few of its more lauded sibling vintages. Just wonderful right now. Not over the top and just on the right side of ripeness. It’s curious that I found the 98,05,07 and 10 to be underwhelming but this inconsequential vintage way over delivers today. The 2001 though is the one to beat right now. 07 was great in 2015 and has shut down somewhat lately.
