    July 20, 2021 - 100% whole cluster; 85% Grenache, 5% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Vaccarèse.
My first encounter with this producer. Upon opening it, my initial thought was: "this tastes like a Bedrock/Morgan Twain-Peterson wine!" A couple minutes of air, and the 60+ YO Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Vaccarèse vines began revealing their character, particularly on the nose—savory, herbaceous, and a little green. On the palate, fresh barrel oak also began emerging. 10 minutes in the profile shifted from bright fruit to dark cherries in a style more reminiscent of Northern Rhone. 20 minutes in, and the whole-cluster treatment moves to the front. 30 minutes in it became clear that the wine is too young and still trying to find itself.
On the next day, the oak treatment seemed to be coming to the forefront.
A wonderful bottling overall, or, to quote Jancis Robinson, a "grown-up wine," truly.
    14.5% ABV.
