August 1, 2021 - This was a double blind horizontal tasting by Mike, across four bottlings. This wine had a deep red center with puce/orange rims. It was actually slightly lighter at the rim than other bottlings. The medium+ intensity nose was comprised of cherry cola, plum, brown spice, and mineral notes.
In the mouth, this wine was balanced with great weight, acidity, and length. It also sported attractively rounded tannin. It showed lovely fruit as well as mineral intensity.
While this wine will last at this level for 10 years or so, I don't see any reason to wait.1 person found this helpful 2,098 views
