August 19, 2021 - My second experience with a Cogno Ravera wine. Again this producer and cru are showing some serious depth and elegance. The nose here is ponounced, with stone fruits meshed with eucalyptus, tar, herbs, and violets with coaxing. The palate is still very tight and with tannin. More dark cherry and stone fruits, coupled with herbal elements, tar, bark and crushed stones. Still quite tight and tannic. Clearly built for 15-20 years of aging. Can this producer becoming highly desirable.

8/19/21, 4:40 PM - thanks for your note,
I've tried this producer's wines a few times and have found a little touch of brett (meaty/farmyard) notes in some of them - not a problem for me - and wondered if you'd picked up any of that with this one?
    cheers, chatters
