August 25, 2021 - Delicious. We got turned on to this wine with the 2015 vintage. The fruit flavors seem richer and more prevalent in this 2017 version. Also some nice earthy notes, even coffee in there to balance out the richness of the fruit flavors. Comes across with purity and freshness, silky texture. Well made wine. Looking forward to the evolution of our other bottles.

9/18/21, 10:31 PM - ‘People’ poo poo this Spanish wine made in an Australian style, but having had this wine since 2004, I think it has become its own unique entity that is consistently hedonistic yet complex. Some of my favorite wines are what many find to be austere, but these wines are undeniably delicious. I had a bottle at a local Spanish restaurant tonight (byob) and it is clearly a standalone and food pairing joy. My only wish is that I could buy them under $20.
