  August 28, 2021 - A somewhat rare pearl from Rajat Parr: Scythians Palomino is like the baby of sherry and a fruit-driven Chenin: interesting nose, with flint, almond, green olives, sunripe lemon, yellow apple and beeswax. Soft touch, with medium acidity and juicy apple-and-citrusy feel. Lemon zest with slight bitterness. Nice mineral nerve. Long finish, ending on almond, smokey and lemon peel notes. An interesting Californian twist, indeed. (By the way; The Scythians were a group of ancient tribes of nomadic warriors who originally lived in what is now southern Siberia. Now you know).
