  March 28, 2021 - My favorite wine from Buena Vista, worth the hefty bottle and price tag for a Sonoma red blend. Check an earlier CT note for the varietals involved and don't compare this wine to the US Bordeaux red blends from say Wala Wala. This wine is pure California bombastic fruit but tamed into a delicious complexity. Deep dark ruby/garnet, highly concentrated with aromas of dark blue fruit. Surprisingly medium weight, almost elegant because of the medium acidity and 13 months in 9% new French oak which keeps all of those upfront fruit flavors in balance to a lingering and delicious finish. For me, a wine to sip with appetizers. The wine will evoke conversation.
